Cazoo is a new used car marketplace founded late-2018 which aims to make buying a used car simpler. The entire process of buying from Cazoo is online, with home delivery offered within 48 hours.
I joined the project to help define the experience the user would follow along the purchase journey and design exploration to translate brand guidelines designed for print to a digital space.
Kicked off by attempting understand customer needs, motivations, and gathering insights that became hypotheses we aimed to test and validate as we continued discovery. Service journey mapping detailed what was important to consider when designing the for core pages of the site; Browse, Details, Purchase & Order, and Delivery.
Values discovered through research started to form a basis of our design principles as we developed UI language and the design system. Reflecting on the the need for trust, the site is has clear signposting, relatable hierarchy of details and flexible navigation. The website needed to allow users to quickly learn where the piece of information they cared about lived.
